Hi, I’m Mandy, the photographer behind Mandy J Photography.

For more than seven years, I’ve had the privilege of capturing growing families, new babies, childhood personalities, joyful milestones and the much-loved pets who share our lives.

My approach is relaxed, natural and centred around genuine connection. I’m not looking for stiff poses or impossible perfection. I want you to feel comfortable, enjoy the experience and have photographs that reflect who you really are—even when that includes a little chaos and plenty of laughter.

Sessions are available in my Bligh Park studio or at selected outdoor locations throughout the Hawkesbury.

Whether we’re capturing your family, welcoming a new little one, celebrating a birthday, creating a wonderfully messy cake smash or photographing a beloved pet, every session is planned around the people and personalities involved.

Before photography, my life included veterinary nursing, more than 18 years microchipping thousands of animals and over 11 years running an animal rescue organisation. That experience gives me a special understanding of pets, particularly those who are shy, anxious, elderly or simply need a little extra patience. Sassy Paws now continues as the dedicated pet photography side of Mandy J Photography.

I believe photographs become more valuable with time. They remind us not only of how life looked, but how it felt—and it would be my privilege to capture those memories for you.
